Get Up

Charlie Summers has never sold an artists' loft to an actual artist.

As Summers, a Bellmarc broker, took NYP Home on a tour of his latest loft - a 750-square-foot $999,000 unit in the West Village - he had to stop and think if a painter or a sculptor had ever come around looking to buy.

Sure, he's seen a lot of bankers and lawyers - "Young, successful people with a nonconformist streak," Summers calls them - but no Jackson Pollock types.
