I'm a little late getting to it, but this is brilliant.
Couple of things:
1) I'm not entirely sure this isn't actually the product of hipsters. (Was it unironically ironic?) I'm not sure. But I could see the argument. (Just like in the great Hipster Olympics video, there was certainly contempt for the hipster, but it was melded with fascination and affection.)
2) I love the "if I want to like Van Halen, I'll fucking like Van Halen line" -- however, I really do hate Van Halen.
